Preschool Art Camps Ages 3-6
All camps run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
10:00 to 11:30
Fee is $65.00 per session
June 17th-19th Enchanted Kingdom 5534 S1
Bold and Beautiful Princesses, Valiant Princes, Mischievous Faeries and
Gnomes. We’ll enter the wonderful world of childhood fantasy and create fun
magical and sparkling art.
June 24th-26th Pirates, Mermaids and Sea Creatures 5521 S1
Yo Ho Matey! Lets set sail for an oceanic voyage into the world of pirates
and mermaids. From hidden treasures to mysterious creatures of the deep.
Children will have a blast creating adventurous art.
July 8th – 10th Ladies, Knights and Castles 5523 S1
Children will create their own renaissance costumes and armor and will
design and build a miniature castle. Our brave young knights and ladies will
be ready to face the challenges of a medieval world!
July 15th- 17th Trip to Africa 5537 S1
Let’s go on a safari and discover the culture and natural world of Africa.
Children will explore and use a variety of materials to create tribal arts and
fun animal collages and masks.
July 22nd--24th Mudbugs Camp 5524 S1
What could be more fun than playing with wet, messy clay? Creativity and
imagination flourish as children explore the different ways to manipulate clay.
All materials and gazing included. Finished pieces will be available 2 weeks
after class ends.
July 29th – 31st Volcanoes and Dinosaurs 5518 S1
We’ll take a pre-historic journey from volcanic eruptions to the ice age, from
dinosaurs to cave people. We’ll create a volcano, dig for fossils and create
other fun pre-historic inspired art!
School-Age Art Camps Ages 6-12
All camps run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
From 2 – 4pm
Fee is $100.00 per session
June 16th – 19th Fairy Home and Garden 5533 S1
What’s a fairy house with out a fairy garden? Welcome the fairies with a
beautiful miniature dish garden and a little fairy house for them to live in. We
will build fairy houses, fairy furniture and miniature garden elements such as,
birdbaths, arbors, wind chimes, pathways etc…We will then plant herbs and
flowers to attract the fairies. Students will be using hot glue guns in this class.
June 23rd – 26th Ceramics 5530 S1
The children will learn basic hand building techniques: Slab-Pinch-Coil. We
will do a variety of projects from simple pottery to whimsical sculpture, all of
which will be glazed and fired. We will work with a variety of clays and
decorative technique. Kids will have a lot of freedom to create in this class.
July 7th – 10th Trading Card Design 5529 S1
Inspired by the Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon, craze, students will design and print
their very own trading/game cards. Kids' imaginations will run wild while they
draw their own creatures, warriors, villains and heroes with invented powers
to be summoned and points to be won. By session end, each student will
have created, printed and laminated a dueling or trading deck of 6 or more
cards to share with friends and family
July 14th –17th Cars, Bots and Boards 5536 S1
In this radical class we will turn ordinary toy cars into art cars, create
skateboard stickers, and use an array of recycled materials to make robot
sculptures.
July 21st – 24th Razzle, Dazzle Design 5519 S1
Glamour is the focus of this fun class where art and fashion meet. Explore
the art of high fashion and design. We will create wearable art and alter
fashion into art!!
July 28th – 31st People, Portraits and Art 5541 S2
What does a portrait tell us about a person? Learn how to draw people by
looking at the history of portraits and the artists that created them. Use clues
about their lives and character to create the world in which they live. Students
will draw, paint and sculpt as they discover the importance of the portrait
throughout history.
